Group Division:

Before we start organising the groups we try to find out what snowboard level you are with a quick interview.
The groups are divided according to the ability/level of the participants. 
On Sundays we give everyone the chance to get used to the snow and the new (rental-) equipment, then groups are divided once we've seen a short demo of your riding.
In case you are starting during the week we will allocate you the right group after seeing your riding level.
Your group is too fast or too slow for you? - You can change group any time!

You should already be a advanced rider and red slopes should not be a problem for you.

Controlled Riding when going straight ahead on a snowboard: enabling the aproach of jumps in the Freestyle Park. 

Carved Turns: simplifying the learning of rotations and riding the Half Pipe!

We recommend to use Freestyle Snowboards with an adjusted centered binding stance.

It is required to wear suitable Freestyle Safety Gear during the lessons such as Helmet and back protection!

 More information concerning Freeride Workshops:

⟩ 2½ hours per day: 9:30 - 12:00 or 12:45 - 15:15

⟩ We teach you the technique of off-piste riding and the rudimental
   knowledge how to safely ride the alpine terrain.

⟩ We use the Freeride-Routes of Kitzsteinhorn plus some 'out of bounds'
   descents! 

⟩ We want that you to have fun riding safely! 
   Our guides are on the mountain every day and follow the current snow
   and avalanche situation carefully. Descents are carefully chosen
   according to the level of the participants!

⟩ Before the first run our guides discuss the latest avalanche report.
   We explain and check the function of the obligatory avalanche safety gear
   of every participant. (A backpack with a shovel, probe and an avalanche
   transceiver)

 

It's like a dream to float and bounce softly in freshly fallen powder snow ... Is it your dream too?!

To participate Hartwegers Freeride Workshops, you should already be a reasonable snowboarder and it should not be a problem for you to manage black slopes. Freeride experience is not required!

We recommend to use freeride skis or snowboards!

The obligatory Avalanche Safety Gear (incuding tranceiver and back pack containing shovel and probe) can be rented at our office by prior notice!

Group Devision:

Depending on your skill level, we will assign you to the group that best suits you – whether you're a snowboarding beginner or an advanced rider!
If your group is too fast or too slow, you can switch groups at any time!


Duration - Course Time:

⟩ We instruct 2½ hours per day - From just 2 participants per group! 
   9:30 - 12:00 or 12:45 - 15:15

⟩ Only 5 participants per group at maximum!

⟩ Additional days are possible!

⟩ Kids from 8 years!

⟩  Valid from March 14th 2025 until April 6th 2025!
